Shelby County, Iowa

Shelby County is located in West Central Iowa, east of Omaha. It was named for Isaac Shelby, first Governor of Kentucky.

The seat and largest city are both Harlan. It borders Crawford, Audubon, Cass, Pottawattamie and Harrison Counties.

Main highways include US-59, IA-37, IA-44, IA-173 and IA-191.
